A tech thriller written by Patrick Carman, Trackers is the
first in a series of adventures. In addition to this series, he has written
many other books. A race to find the notorious hacker, Shantorian, this group
of techno savvy kids must help the agency find this criminal.
What starts out as an innocent game for a group of four
friends, turns into a life or death situation. Getting involved with the ISD,
Internet Security Directive, proves eventful for this group of teens.
Leading the team of friends is Adam. His father’s computer
repair shop is the meeting place for the trackers. Emily is the task master of
the trackers, always making sure they stay focused. Skateboarder, daredevil
Finn, he provides excitement to the trackers and always a good test subject for
new inventions. Quiet Louis has a way of keeping the group in check and based
in reality.
Techno savvy kids playing along in a computer game that goes
from fun to life or death causes some conflicts. Is the ISD a group the
trackers want to be associated with, can they be trusted? The trackers seek an
answer to this throughout the book.
Trackers is a good book. The reader wants the four
characters to succeed in their mission towards the truth behind the game. After
reading this book, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
