The Fault in Our Stars

BY: JOHN GREEN

The Author of the book has written many books such as: Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, Will garyson and many more. These books all compare to the book the fault in our stars because they all tend to be young adult novels which are usually purchased by people 18 and up but also teens because John Green’s books tent to be relatable. There was once a young girl with the name of Hazel who suffered from cancer. Hazel had a strong positive mind about her sickness than the rest of her friends and family. She started going to support group which helped kids with cancer get through life as she started going to these meetings in the support group she met Augustus who quickly became the love of her life, who also suffered from cancer hazel saw that his positivity was as strong as hers so than its all turned to hazel, to make his mind positive and strong.

The story is mostly turned around on Hazel after she meets Augustus. She tries to find a a way to make Augustus Mind positive while she is fighting to stay positive herself. She makes many sacrifices to make Augustus once she sees him trying to give up. Somehow she still manages to get through life herself when she is constantly fighting to fit on and going to hospitals. After trying hard on keeping Augustus head up something tragic happens to him which makes Hazel’s life even harder.

This book is really helpful for the people who have someone in their family battling any diseases. They don’t even have to have a disease they could just be going through a hard time in life, yet this book makes them realize that there is way much to life than they can see.  I recommend reading this it will change how you think about many people or even change the way you think about life.

  1. This by far has to by my top favorite book I've ever read! It is the only book that I have read that I can continue to re-read and re-read over and over. So far I have actually read this book seven times myself. Most loves stories are the same drawn out battle for love between two people who "don't seem like the would ever be together" and that is why I don't actually read love stories, because they are all the same! This one however is completely different. It captures a look at a different type of love story, and even though it is a sad one, its refreshing and lovely to read. The fact that from the beginning of the book, Hazel Grace and Augustus seem perfect for each other and you know that they would be an amazing couple, instead of the oh so "original" football player and nerd love story that isn't supposed to work but somehow does, makes this book that much more extraordinary. I love it in every way and I completely agree with everything this review says. Its not only a book for hopeless lovers but also a good book for people going through illness and hard times. Its flexible and relates to almost everyone in one way or another. If for some reason you haven't read this book, do it now. It will be well worth it!

  2. I really enjoyed reading this book and I agree with you it is helpful for people who may have diseases to be able to read this book and know that things will be okay. I have only read this book once and let me tell you it was very emotional to get through. It was one of those books that really got me hooked and I wanted to continue reading. I could barely put it down, the author did a very good job of his usage of language and the way he incorporated the story overall. It was an excellent read and I would definitely recommend it to someone else. The plot was amazing, to be completely honest when I began reading I thought that Hazel would be the one to pass away, but things completely to a different turn. The author wanted you to think and he really surprised me with some of his decisions. I am glad he made the book, because it shows what some people have to go through everyday. I was satisfied with this book and I am looking forward to the movie, if you have not read the book then you should definitely give it a try!
