Song of the Moon is by Catherine
Banks. She has written two other series other than the Artemis Lupine book
series (Song of the Moon). I enjoyed reading the other two books of the series
although I wish she would finish the fourth or at least end the series. In the
story Artemis, an 18 year old girl, is trying to adjust to being a werewolf and
having the werewolf prince as her mate. She has to prevail though secret plots
to either bind her in chains for being what she is or her inevitable end by her
execution. I think the writer tries to say that there is someone waiting to see
your smile and love you, you just have to wait long enough to meet them.
While
Artemis is adapting to her new life, secret plots start to unfold and I she is
not careful she will alone without the protection of her pack and her mate.
Luckily for her, they won’t give up without a fight. Ares, prince of the
wolves, along with Koda and Matt are Artemis’s pack mates and protectors that
would give their lives to keep her safe and happy. “We’re pack and the touch of
our packmates is soothing” (Banks 222).
Personally
I love fantasy books like this, romance and supernatural creatures. I would
recommend this book if the reader is into that sort of thing. There are
monsters and werewolves and romance to boot! There is some smut so if you don’t
like that, then don’t read it. At some parts it can seem to take a while but
then there are some good parts too. All in all it is a good book for teens who
are into romance and fantasy.
