Rick Riordan has written many other books including Percy Jackson series and heroes of Olympus series. House of Hades is the fourth book in the heroes of Olympus saga and continues the story of the
series. The message I thought the author was trying to get across is never give
up even with all the odds against you.
House of Hades follows a group of demi gods as they race to
close the doors of death in both the over and the under worlds. This book picks
up right where the last one ends with Percy and Annabeth stuck in Tartarus fighting
their way through monsters and enemies. At the same time Jason and the others
are having their own problems dealing with gods and monsters all trying to stop
them from getting to Greece and stopping the evil god Gaia from rising.
I liked the book it gave the quest even more urgency as now
there is less time and more things to do as ever even though I think the title
of the book house of hades is a little misleading because they never do make it
there. If you have read previous books in the series this book is a must read
otherwise it wouldn’t make much sense as it mostly focuses on the existing
characters and doesn’t add new ones.
