Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind, and Naked

Gene Elliot Thornton, Jr.
Genre: Non-Fiction

This book is about a guy named Gene who started off as a young man who struggled with a lot of stuff as he grew up with his family. He had times where he was bum & out on the streets to being on top of it all.

Gene is young man 23 who lives in New York City on GunHill Avenue & White Plains rd. As he grows up around his mom and other family member a disease called HIV is going around and gene starts to get curious if this has got a hold of him. He starts to show some symptoms of being sick so he goes to get tested. As he tries to find out his Mother and Father have some problems.  Since gene was a young boy he has a dream of getting rich and being a rapper, one day he finally gets a chance of chasing his dreams and everything changes. I liked this book because it shows how much you can accomplish if you work your hardest towards getting what you want if you truly have a passion for what you desire.

I recommend this book to others because it’s a good inspirational book and it shows a life lesson. If you need advice on how to live and enjoy life this is a good book for that.
