After the Dragon Hatches Eragon names her Saphira. Eragon,
Brom, and Saphira have to leave Carvahall, Eragon’s home, because the Ra’zac
(strange creatures) want to kill them and take Saphira. The 3rd town Eragon,
Brom, and Saphira go to is Yazuac in hope of getting food and supplies. All
they find is men, women, and children slaughtered by Urgals in a huge pile of
bodies. Urgals are Human like creatures with gray skin, thick arms, and bowed
legs. While they are there they run into Urgals and Eragon kills two of them
with magic. That is the first time he has used magic. After Eragon recovers
they make their way to Teirm. Teirm is where one of Brom’s good friends lives.
When they leave Teirm they decide to go to the Varden (people who are fighting
the evil king and Empire), and help them fight. Not long before they are half
way to reaching the Varden trouble befalls on Eragon and Brom. Read the book
and find out what happens.
This is a really good book. People who are in 7th grade and
older will enjoy this book. WARNING: Not for young children/young minds. The
only bad thing about this book is there are sayings in different languages.
Some are defined in the book but for others you have to go to the back and look
them up. So your go from the back to where you left off a lot but it’s worth
it. Other than that it is one of the best books I’ve read. Read it for yourself
if you don’t believe me. If you’ve seen the movie then you should definitely
read the book because the movie is wrong about a lot of things.
Book Review by Taylor R.
I agree with you, I started reading the inheritance Cycle in middle school and I loved it. I think that while at times it can be irritating to try and look up a word in the back it was cool to see all of the different languages that were in the series, also as the books go on the "dictionary" keeps getting bigger. So all in all, your right Eragon is an awesome book and anyone into fantasy and dragons should read it.
