Ninja secrets of invisibility written by Ashida Kim
Ashida Kim had has written other books about traditional
ninja techniques this is the only book I have ever read by him. What I got from
reading this book was that ninja are less about combat and more about mind
games and being smarter than their opponent.
The book starts with a way that ninja’s improve memory and
observational skills called the box game. which consist of you seeing objects
and then someone putting those same
object in a box and u have to describe and guess what it is your feeling in the
box. Then they get into a genin’s (lowest level ninja) final test. Taking out a
samurai sentry one of the hardest missions a ninja can do. From that point on
its all about different combat maneuvers and techniques and that is where I got
very bored with it.
This book was more aimed at an avid martial artist and not
your average person. I lost interest in reading the book pretty fast. But I
think if you were in to martial arts or were more interested in traditional
ninja techniques. This book would appeal to you more. I would only recommend
this book too someone who is interested in those two things otherwise it would
just be boring to read because it is just about different attacks, blocks,
steps, and rolls.
