Picture Me Gone

Picture me gone is the book I read. The author of this book is Meg Rosoff. She has written other books such as, How I Live Now, Just InCase, What I Was, The Brides Farewell, Vamoose, There Is No Dog, and other books including picture books. This is the first book I have read by Rosoff. The book is about an interesting father daughter relationship. The theme of this book is trust. Mila’s father almost loses Mila when he does not tell her the complete truth.

This story is about a Father and Daughter who visit America from London. When they arrive the friend they were supposed to meet goes missing. Mila and her father go on a road trip to a cabin. When they reach the cabin they find an old friend named Lynda. Lynda has a son named Jake; Mila soon develops a crush on Jake. While figuring Jake and Lynda’s story Mila realizes that the story of his disappearing is more twisted than they thought. Through a couple days of investigating Mila figures out her father has a secret of his own.

Personally I found this book a little boring. I thought the plot would be more interesting with twists and turns. I predicted what was going to happen in the book. There weren’t too many conflicts besides the man being lost. If I could have chosen a different book to read I would. Save your time and pick a different book. I just don’t like the authors writing style. The book is not very descriptive and it was hard to imagine.
