The Hobbit

The title of the book I read was The Hobbit. The author of The Hobbit is J.R.R Tolkien. J.R.R Tolkien has written many other books including The Lord of the Rings saga and The Silmarillion. The Hobbit is as well the prequel to The Lord of the Rings saga. This book is about a group of dwarves who go on a journey to take back their home land, with a little help from a powerful wizard and a little hobbit. The theme of this story is never give up on each other because if they hope of completing this journey then they are not able to give each other up.

This story is about a little hobbit who gets asked to go on an adventure, which hobbits are not known to do and it is very much looked down upon by other hobbits. The main important characters in this story are Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Thorin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Dwalin, Fili, Gloin, Kili, Nori, Oin and Ori. Some of the Non-important conflicts include trying to escape globins, defeating orcs, and of course getting along with elves. “The Bagginses have lived in the neighborhood of the hill for time out of mind, and people considered them very respectable, not only because most of them rich, but also because they never had any adventures or did anything unexpected”(Tolkien 11).

I extremely liked this book because I enjoy reading and watching media that has a lot of action and this book really delivered from the action with orcs, goblins, and a dragon. I think that if you like fantasy or action books then you should read this book immediately and I think that anyone of all ages would really like this book.
