The Girl in 6E

The book I was reading this trimester is called The Girl in 6E by A.R. Torre. This is not an appropriate book it has many sexual themes and violence. I bought the book at Target because it looked interesting. I read the back of the book, which said "My life is simple as long as I follow the rules: 1. Don't leave the apartment. 2. Never let anyone in. 3. Don't kill anyone. It had many details that would have important to know before I purchased it. I immediately started reading it once I got home and figured it's inappropriate then I skipped ahead and it got interesting. It was like a normal life goes bad action story.

The story mainly starts with the protagonist Deanna who is tortured end tormented by her mothers psychotic demons making life a living hell. She also goes by "Jessica" when doing her "work" is showing the reader her everyday life locked away in her apartment. She locks herself away from every living being to keep from killing them. At night her demons are the worse she paid her neighbor, Simon, to lock her away at night since she had a new door built so there's a lock on the inside and also a different lock on the outside. Instead of going out she has a delivery for everything and with the same delivery man, Jeremy, who knows to place the package and leave. She has an online therapist, Dr. Derek, to console her demons or talk about her "work". Lots of her clients are the same but some she finds help in since she can't leave. Mike being one of those since he can hack and learn whatever about whoever. He is one of the biggest help but still under appreciated in this story. One day she gets a suspicious client who goes by the online name "RalphMA35" has questionable intentions, not for Deanna but for someone, maybe their life. Deanna makes it her job not to only find out how to help but also wondering if she can make good from her bad." The mind is it's own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven."

I liked the book a lot because it's sad for her to have mental issues but it's also intriguing since I don't have that mindset. It's interesting to see what she decides to do and how she must live her life to keep it. Even though she has issues she still has a heart and wants to live a normal life and use her problems for someone else. This would target readers who likes violence and overcoming mental issues. I don't think everyone will like it and this being one of the many times I've read this book it's not as interesting as before but I still remember the first, the second and the third time I've read it and I still enjoyed it.
