Hush

The book I read was called Hush by Jacqueline Woodson. The book was kinda good. I just like other kind of books.Jacqueline Woodson also written If you come softly, Show way and many other good books. The theme of the book Hush is more of a calm theme

Evie Thompson life was ok before her dad witnessed a murder.  Her dad decided to testify, so then she and her family moved into the witness protection program. I'm the new place, she has problems with friends and school. She wants to be popular but isn't. Her sister does not have any problems and that makes  her jealous. On top of all that her dad has stopped doing anything because be does not see the point in life. He wacbed someone be killed and that is not a memory many people forget. Evie does not know how to make her life better, but she knows she can not go on like this much longer.

But as I read more of the book I started to like it. This shows a lot like racism and  black lives matter. I think the book hush was for his kids to show then what the real world is like outside of school and home. Probably more guys would like this book because most guys go through stuff like her dad did. But I think this book can be for all people. I liked it as I got more into it.
