Always and Forever, Lara Jean

Jenny Han

This book is the continuation of the first book To All The Boys I've Loved Before and the second book P.s. I Still Love You.The first book was about Lara Jean writing to guys she's loved or had a crush on and kept it in a tin hatbox. While accidentally her little sister sent the letters to her crushes and they received them. So peter (one of her crushes) and her ended up fake dating but they have had feelings for each other so they actually went out. The second book was about Lara and Peter’s relationship building up and how they said they were actually going to be a real couple. While the third one is them continuing their relationship but has some issues because of them planning on how to keep their relationship going while they get ready to go to college. The genre of this series is romance.

This book is about this girl named Lara Jean who lived with her dad and her little sister Kitty, her oldest sister is in college far away from home. Her mother died when Lara was at a young age. She has a boyfriend named peter, while they graduate high school together, they try to find a way to stay together once they go on to college. They are the couple that usually never argue but they find it hard and difficult throughout their relationship, having doubts about staying together and going off to college as a couple. For example, “ Suddenly it feels like every decision we make is so momentous, and I'm so scared to make the wrong one, “ (Han 287)

I liked the book because I'm a huge fan of romantic books. They make me react differently when I read. It is very interesting of what Lara thinks when they have cute moments together or when they argue, it makes me want to cry. They go through lots of life decisions on either they want to stay together or they have to go onto life without each other. If you are really into something that makes you feel different types of emotions or just like reading books with teenagers falling in love like in our generation today, I would definitely suggest you to read this book or start reading the first book so you get the main idea behind it and how it all started.
