This book is called, “Eve.” And this is by Anna Carey. She has also made two more installments to this series and now it’s a trilogy. It’s just a continuation of what happens in book 1 and book 2.
This is about a world overridden by a plague, many people died because of it. Lots of children lost their parents making them orphans. The girls in particular were sent off to a barricaded school where they were taken care of and educated until they were 18. This story is told in the eyes of Eve. Eve is a girl who is the valedictorian of her graduating class. But suddenly she learns a dark secret about her school and runs away. She falls in love with a boy named Caleb. “You can love anyone,” I interrupted, looking around at the group. “Love is just—I searched for the right words— “caring about someone very deeply. Feeling like that person matters to you, like your whole world would be sadder without them in it.” (Pg 133)
I really liked this book because I love dystopian novels and this fits the category. The plot twists really kept me interested in the story. The audience of this book is most likely teenage girls/young adults. Or maybe anyone interested in science fiction.
Someone who hates romance wouldn’t like this. This book is really good if you like stories like, “The Hunger Games.” Or, “Divergent.” If then you’d enjoy this.
