Sentinel

The book I read was Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This book is the last book of the serie of Covenant. Jennifer L. Armentrout had published a lot of books, but this is the first time I read one of her books. This is a romance and fantasy book. It’s also based around the Greek mythology. It is about a girl named Alexandra Andros who has to face obstacles in order to protect the people she loves. Alexandra is shortened to Alex in the book. The book’s theme is to become strong at any that’s you and accepting your fate, knowing about the end result.

Alex is a half-blood, apollyon, and a demigod. There are two apollyons who are Alex and Seth. In the story, there are supporting characters like Aiden St. Delphi and Seth. Aiden and Alex are in a romantic relationship with each other. Seth and Alex have a complicated relationship. After the fight between the God of War with Alex, she is weakened and needed to become stronger because the God of War, Ares. Ares has plans to take over the mortal realm and Olympus. Alex and Aiden have to travel down to the Underworld to release the most treacherous gods in all time, and will have to trust that foe. Alex has the choice to become something that will end her life or to see everything crumbling down to pieces and people she cares deeply about.   

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and fantasy. I think this one will be a great book, but you should read the first book of the serie to understand what happened in the beginning because I didn’t know this book was a serie until I researched this book up. This book also hints a love triangle between Alex, Seth, and Aiden. I really enjoyed this book even though it was the last book of the serie. It made me want to read more since there were interesting points in the story.
