Begging for Change

I read a book this trimester by Sharon g.flake called “begging for change”a realistic fiction novel with is also a sequel  to the Coretta Scott king book of honor-moneyhungry. This is about a family of 3 who lived in the streets. Raspberry the daughter of mr and ms hill, the father suffered from addiction of drugs and alcohol so the mother and father didn't want him in there lives until he could get himself together. their family members knew about this but couldn't help because the were also poor.so one day Oddjob a cousin of the family said that he had a business and would get them a place to live. A couple of weeks later doctor mitchell an old friend of ms hills rant into each other and they coughs up on things and she told him about her life story of when she was homeless .she has no job to buy the things that she needs so he offered to help out.doctor Mitchell came around the place more often and they started to fall for each other but didn't decide on a relationship. Raspberry and doctor Mitchell's daughter Zara were really good friends until one day the stole from Zora the she found out and they were no longer friends. Raspberry told both percent and they resold their relationship.their. Neighbor Shakieta and miracle  were always looking for their trouble so the mother got frustrated and called the cops and she went to Juvi so miracle her cousin  was so upset ms hills in the get with a metal tool and she was sent to the hospital and had some medical problems. This brought their family together and stronger but for what shaketa did she was kicked outa her home. The hills family  were done with people's trouble so the decided to move houses to an area where there would no problems. During the summer she made some new friends and spent  almost everyday with her friends at her job and one day a boy named sato from her group of friends told her he liked her and they spent more time together and finally they started to date each other. I really like this book ,it really reacts to many life's of a teenager.the point was showing how you can go from nothing to something even better. This is such a good book ,you can really learn from a perspective of someone with struggles
