The Mark of Athena

Rick Riordan has written a lot of books based on different types of mythology such as The Son of Neptune and The Battle of the Labyrinth.

The mark of Athena is about a group of seven demi-gods. Greek and Roman. The book starts of as the seven demi-gods land at the Roman camp. After some peace talks with the romans the captain of the Argo II Leo was posed by a ghost and made to shoot at the roman camp.

I enjoyed this book because I enjoy mythology. I also enjoy the way the author switches point of views between the characters. Also this book is kind of the turning point in the series and a lot of important things happened so there was never a dull moment.

I would suggest this book to people because it is an easy to read book. It also doesn’t require the reader to know much or if anything at all about Greek/ Roman Mythology. It also has a very good plot

  1. I'm interested of reading a fiction book of Greek/Roman mythology: The Mark of Athena. It is Annabeth chase; the daughter of Athena is her quest on her own to follow the Mark of Athena with a coin of an owl with her boyfriend Percy Jackson and gets mad because she wondered where Percy was, how did he disappear, but then Percy promised her not to separate from her again. Her fears are spiders. Her objective is to follow the Mark of Athena, capture the statue that is forty feet tall called the Athena Parthenos, but she needs to do it alone and to be careful of where she's going whether she gets occupied or trapped and there's a giant spider named Arachne who is the guardian of the statue. I like some mythology of where they keep it secret and their parents are gods or goddesses where they have superpowers to fight evil and fight some creatures that are myths. I would suggest this book to people because it is an easy to read this book. But it doesn't require the reader to know much or anything about Greek/Roman Mythology. It also has a very good plot. Things that were worst to me is Percy and Annabeth had fell down into a hole to enter Tartarus. Percy couldn't save Annabeth, because she was stuck on one of Arachne's webs, but then they accidentally fell together. It happened at the end of the book. One important thing was the rest of their allies need to go to Epirus in Greece to close the Doors of Death to stop the creatures getting through and to rescue Percy and Annabeth.
